Commissioning Your Piece

A custom trapper hat is created individually for its wearer. Each commission reflects generations of Upper Peninsula craftsmanship, shaped by tradition and guided by precision.

The Art of the Perfect Fit

A bespoke headpiece is an intimate investment. To ensure your custom commission contours flawlessly to your silhouette, precise measurement is essential.

Using a Tailor’s Tape

Position

Place the tape measure at the center of your forehead, approximately one inch above your eyebrows.

Circumference

Wrap the tape smoothly around the widest part of the back of your head (the occipital bone) and return to the front.

Tension

Ensure the tape sits snug—not tight—mimicking how you wish the hat to feel. Record the measurement to the nearest millimeter or 1/8th inch.

Using a String & Ruler

The Measure

Use a non-elastic cord or string. Follow the same positioning as above, encircling the head.

Mark

Pinch the string where it meets the starting end.

The Scale

Lay the string flat against a standard ruler or metal tape measure to determine your precise length.

"Every piece is a masterwork of tactile luxury, engineered for those who demand the extraordinary."
